The way cricket is thumping in the heart of every Indian with the close approaching of India-Aus cricket series next month. On the same lines, Bikanervala Foods Pvt Ltd organized their “Bikano premier league season 2” to unite their employees of all its 4 locations on 24th Dec 2015 at DDA sports complex pitam pura delhi.

The spirit and energy was overwhelming in every Bikano Employee.The on ground war witnessed a huge turnout with participation of everyone whether playing or cheering for their respective teams. This corporate cricket championship was to promote the theme “Mile Sur Mere Tumhara” an Hindi proverb which means the collaboration of thoughts of yours with mine .

It’s a consequent 2nd year when sportsmanship roared over the heads with the humble support of BFPL Managing Director Mr S.S Aggarwal and Mr Manish Aggarwal and the entire Senior managment  fraternity stepping in and also every individual participated in the event.

On the occasion Mr Deepta Gupta Executive Vice President of the Group shared his thoughts on the importance of Sports & Team Spirit in life, with the Media and the Bikano Team. He said team spirit is very important in any field of life because it creates the unity in human beings. It helps to improve their performance as individual.

Team spirit is about supporting your team ,respecting others and most of all Encourage your team mates. Every employee is dependent on his fellow employees to work together and contribute efficiently to the organization. No employee can work alone; he has to take the help of his colleagues to accomplish the tasks efficiently. It has been observed that the outcome comes out to be far better when employees work in a team rather than individually. Mr Gupta added that such events provide the employees an opportunity to come together on a common platform and form a team, work and strive for same Goal and emerge as winners.

The inaugural ceremony happened with lighting the mashal that symbolizes Light & Energy and national anthem was sung with everyone standing with hands on their heart.  "Bikano premier league season 2" Cricket Matches commenced with the announcement of 4 teams.

Mr Shyam Sunder Aggarwal took the opportunity of batting to shot some boundaries, enough to cheer their employees. Henceforth the tournament started in mid of Cheers where "Team Bikano" was present there to cheer there respective teams.

Cricket championship matches  were  played among 4 different teams BIKANO ROYAL, BIKANO AVENGER, BIKANO DELIGHT, BIKANO TARANG around 60 players are in their full-on energy and last year revenge on head. Over 300 employees participated in the match as supporters and shouting loud for their favoruite teams. Match was accomplished followed by lunch and Award ceremony. Team "Bikano Delight" was declared as winner while team "Bikano Royal" was the runner-up respectively. Mr Gurpreet Singh from Bikano Royal and Mr Abhishek from Bikano Delight were declared as "Man of the Tournament". 

The whole battle was very friendly and full of sportsmanship where seniors and juniors were playing like friends and making strategies over the pitch. It was very entertaining enough to say good bye to this year 2015 and welcoming 2016.

Bikanervala organizes drawing competition every year during the Christmas carnival time. The competition is for kids between the age group of 4 and 14 years. It is open to all and does not mandate any purchase at the Bikanervala/Bikano outlet.

This year, the theme of the competition is “A Day Spent @ Bikanervala”. It will run at all the Bikanervala outlets from 24^th December to 28^th December. The provision of drawing sheets, colors and other stationery will be done by Bikanervala. The duration for the competition will be 30 minutes.

Bikanervala has decided to award and acknowledge 1 winner everyday from each outlet. Each of the winners will be gifted Gift Hampers and Gift Coupons. The names and photographs of the winners will be announced onBikanervala Facebook page.

The competition will also have 3 final winners who will be chosen from all the paintings across every outlet and from all the 5 days. These 3 winners will be awarded exciting gift hampers and vouchers.

Bikano, which is the namkeen division of Bikanervala, upholds this change with vigor and enthusiasm and wishes each one a healthy festival and a long life.

The story behind the grand celebration of Karwa Chauth is found in the rich Indian mythology. Goddess Parvati and Lord Shiva have said that observing the fast of Karwa Chauth elongates the life of a woman’s life partner. The mythological tale goes as follows and is also mentioned in the puja verses that the fast holders do on Karwa Chauth.

The katha read amid puja tells the story of Princess Veeravati who gets married to a lord. On her first Karva Chauth, she chooses to go visit her guardians. The fasting throughout the day renders her frail and she blacks out. Her seven brothers, who cherish her immensely, cannot stand to see their sister in this state and deceive her into imagining that the moon has risen. The moment she breaks her fast, she gets word that her spouse, the lord is dead. The queen is grief stricken and hurries to her spouse's royal residence. Enroute, she meets Goddess Parvati and Lord Shiva who advise her that it is an atonement and fasting on Karva Chauth will bring back her spouse. The story closes cheerfully as the king comes back to life and they live joyfully ever after.

The story is very interesting and affirms one’s belief in the logic behind celebrating the festival. Bikano believes that the story is as beautiful as the festival itself and bespeaks the tale of love, romance and commitment.
